Russian Women Victorious at World Athletic Championships

The Russian runner Yekaterina Volkova was the winner of the women’s 3,000 meter steeplechase event Monday at the World Athletic Championships. She was the 2nd place finisher in 2005 and won this year with a time of nine minutes and 6.57 seconds - a new World Championships record.
