Party Options Abound on the Moscow River
There are many ferry firms around the city offering their boats for private parties and dinner cruises along the Moscow River and reservoirs. Yu can go off for the evening or up to a few days while exploring the river and the peaceful reservoirs to the north of the city crossing the Moscow Canal.
Ship-shop.ru is a good source of information listing the variety of rentals available, from a tiny 10 person boat for 3,000 rubles an hour to a 35 person boat for 4,000 rubles an hour up to 65 kilometers an hour. You can also liven things up with a girly show for the trip at an extra charge of 15,000 or have a Spanish-themed party for an additional charge.
Some of the larger more extravagant options include the Svytatitel Nikolai with 10 staterooms, some lounge chairs, a restaurant, two karaoke systems and seating for up to 120 people. It will cost you 8,500 rubles for a 4 to 6 hour trip on a Saturday. There are also boats that you can rent that come with the option of a catered banquet and bar or private picnic with a chef cooking up the BBQ.
