Moscow Restaurants Getting into Spirit of World Hockey Championships and Spring

Some of the local restaurants are promoting the World Hockey Championships that are taking place in Moscow through May 13th. Some are offering new items on their menu just in time for spring. If you are looking for a place with the guys to check out some hockey, or looking for a place to take a sexy Russian lady on a date, one of these places could fit the bill.

Dymov No. 1 grill and beerhouse chain is showing hockey games from the championships on the screens in their restaurants around the city. There are specials on the menu including a special six person sausage selection made up of Venetian-style, Munich-style, cheese-and-poppy-seed, lamb, four-pepper and miniature truffle sausages. The special comes with boiled potatoes, sauerkraut and server mustards and sauces and goes for 1,950 rubles. Dymov No. 1 is located at 34 Sofiiskaya Nab and 6 Ul. Malaya Dmitrovka.

The Goodman (www.goodman.ru for locations) steakhouse chain is serving up a “guest steak”, the T-Bone Champion which is a 650 gram T-bone steak for 1,480 rubles with a specially chosen wine, the Formulae Barone Ricasoli 2004, to go with it.

The Nedalny Vostok, located at 15 Tverskoi Bulvar, Bldg 2, is offering a new dish, dim sum, which comes in 6 varieties. Each serving comes with six dumplings and costs 650 rubles.
