There are many options around Moscow for the upcoming Passover Seder, which starts Monday and seats are still available at many tables around town.

Arkady Gaidamak, the Israeli-Russian billionaire may be attending the VIP Seder at Choral Synagogue in Moscow according to a synagogue official. The cost is $200 and is the hottest ticket in town for the traditional ceremonial meals that are held on the first and second night of Passover.

You can also get a cheaper meal at the Choral Synagogue for 30 rubles which will be presided over by a junior rabbi from the congregation. For 2,000 rubles you can attend a dinner with higher quality food. Both of those meals will run on the first and second night, but the $200 VIP option is only available on the first night. Dinner starts at 9 p.m. with prayers at 7:30 p.m. The synagogue is located at 10 Bolshoi Spasoglinishchevsky.

For English-speaking Jews in Moscow, an English Seder will take place on Monday at the Marina Roshcha synagogue at 5A 2nd Vysheslavstev which is the home of the Lubavitch group in Moscow. The Seder is free and it will begin at 8 p.m.

The Seder for the progressive movement will take place on Monday and Tuesday at 7 p.m. at 14/1 Volochayevskaya Ul. and the cost is 300 rubles.

And if you’re looking for matzo, which is unleaven bread that represents the bread eaten during the exodus of Jews from Egypt, check the Marina Roshcha and Choral Synagogue stores. You can also buy it at the kosher supermarket at 45 Trifonovskaya Ul.
