Beautiful Russian Women Nuclear Workers Compete for Miss Atom 2007
The Russian Nuclear Power industry is holding its 4th annual beauty competition to crown Miss Atom 2007. The nuclear power sector has invited female workers and students from Russia and the former Soviet Union to enter in the competition to determine the most radiant beauty in the industry.
Ilya Platonov, owner of the Nuclear Russia web site and the organizer of the contest, has been quoted as saying “There are a lot of beautiful women in the Russian nuclear sector.” Since the first competition in 2004, the number of women applying for the title of Miss Atom has tripled, with a high of 220 entries last year and more expected this year.
The main requirements of the contest are that women need to be between the ages of 18 to 35 and either work in the nuclear sector in Russia or other former Soviet states or be studying nuclear science at a university. Voting is taking place online and the winner and runners-up will be given their awards at Rosatom, Russia’s atomic energy agency, in Moscow in March.
Attractive Russian women can apply at the contest web site until February 20th by sending in a photo and CV. The winner will receive a full-length mink coat.
