DO NOT assume that Russian women are going to act like Western women, especially American women. Some people suggest that you forget everything you know about women, the differences are that great and additionally, you are not familiar with the cultural and socio-economic conditions of the country so you will have a lot to learn.
DO NOT be late to any meetings you might arrange between yourself and Russian women in your search for a Russian bride, or even worse – not show up for the meeting entirely. If you want to marry a Russian bride you need to prove you are reliable and dependable. So many Russian women who are searching for their dream husband are stood up so many times that if you are even slightly late for your meeting, she will assume you are showing her up too and she will just leave.
DO NOT assume that you will find a Russian bride just because you have an American passport; Russian women want to get married for love and security, not for citizenship. They already live in one of the largest countries in the world and they are very proud of that fact.
Along the same vein, DO NOT assume that you know everything there is to know about Russia. Let them tell you about their country. You have not lived there so do not insult your potential Russian brides by spouting off a bunch of stuff about their country that you read on the internet.
