At LoversPlanet.com, we have plenty of advice for making the move from Russia as easy as possible for you and your Russian bride.

Make sure to check out our US immigration page that has plenty of advice on obtaining visas and making the transition as easy as possible. A lawyer often isn’t necessary as long as you read the instructions carefully and provide the proper evidence that the marriage is legitimate.

There are two visas you can obtain, the fiancee (K1) visa and the spouse (K3) visa. With the K1 visa, you must demonstrate the intention to marry within 90 days of arriving in the US. You would order the K3 if you’ve already married in a foreign country, and this visa must be obtained from the country where you were married, even if your bride is a Russian citizen. The US immigration website provides all the information you may need.

After your Russian bride has arrived, you need to apply for a green card through the USCIS. For two years, your wife will be considered a conditional resident of the United States, but after that, you can file a joint petition to have the conditional status removed.

Educating yourself about the process can save a lot of headaches down the road. Lucky, with LoversPlanet.com, we not only help you find beautiful Russian mail order brides, but we’ll help you with everything else you need to know to start your new life together.
