Moscow, Russia Here at LoversPlanet.com, we are dedicated to making sure all of our users are educated about Russian dating scams. There are many reports about women misrepresenting themselves to men and requesting various sums of money for purposes such as visas and travel expenses.

We require our members not to send any money to anyone they meet on LoversPlanet.com or any affiliated websites. If you have any doubts, please contact customer care.

In order to avoid being scammed, users should heed the warning signs, which include:

  • Russian women from cities with high rates of scamming, such as : Joshkar-Ola (Yoshkar-Ola) and Mari El Republic, Kazan, Cheboksary, and Gomel. Be especially cautious of Russian girls from these cities.
  • The woman insists she visit you, but not the other way around. Ask if you can visit Russia or Ukraine, even if you don’t plan to, as a visit by you will not result in money being sent.
