Well, it seems things have calmed down a bit on this topic. So, I thought I would fuel the fire a bit. First I wanted to tell of a brief experience which I had in Moscow. I was driving in a Taxi from the airport and talking to the driver. The driver asked me if I was Canadian. I told him no I was an American. He told me "you American's are so lucky". I asked him why he felt this way. He responded, "you get all the best people from all over the world". This made me think a bit. Also, when I was on this trip Bill Clinton was in town (towards the end of his second term). And yes there was a lot of excitement, however, the following week Bill Gates came to Moscow and gave some talks. By comparison Bill Gates at this time shutdown much of Moscow, the crowds were really large.
It seems that the taxi driver was right, we are lucky that we attract people from all over the world, it is a great benefit and strenght of America, one which we should be greatful for. The people that come are risk takers by definition. They are leaving their lives in their home country to start new. When we look at the women that are on this site, they too are risk takers, they are also innovators, they are ready to make a change in their lives, to hope for a better future, and they take a lot of risk (sometimes even with their children - if they are involved). Few, of the men on this site are willing to relocate, to learn a new culture and language.
As I have been reading through the various comments on this site, these thoughts came to my mind and I wanted to share them with you. Most of the Women on this site are interested in a serious relationship or marriage, they are taking a lot of risk. I also wanted to thank these women and to let them know that I really admire and respect them greatly.
