Dear boys, do you wait any gift for the first visit? Is it normal if there is no any for you?
may be flowers????

If I developed a real relationship with a woman by sending messages and letters and then over Skype, I would certainly bring some small gifts and flowers would be at the very top of the list.

I would bring things that represent where I come from.

All in all, small gifts, but hopefully enough to let her know how sincerely happy I am to finally meet her.

And assuming things go well, I will want to make sure we have pictures taken together, so we can remind ourselves about the "first meeting".

sorry, but I still have not understood...Must the girl search any gift for the man...or the man wouldn't be upset if there is no any even small gift for him...although she is glad to see him.

I think this is a personal choice. If I arrived and received no gift, I would not be concerned. I would not even think about it or believe I was forgotten. I would consider the meeting to be gift enough.

But, if the woman had some small special item for me, I would be delighted and happy for the thoughtfulness.

Boys, thank you for your answer. I wrote at the forum for girls that you wouldn't be very upset with out a present.

If you ask about a gift for the lady may be there are ideas at the forum....if you want I can ask the girls...My opinion the digital cam or web is good.

perfume or jewellery will be nice

Ideas about the right and nice gifts can arise from the relations (in case of internet dating from chatting and writing to each other) and knowing each other: what things interest a girl, what she likes, what her small dreams are. Of course girl`s things like perfume or jewelry can be appreciated by most of the girls, it is very pleasant to get gifts like that. But if you know that your girl is keen on photography, she will be crazy happy to get a good cam, be sure .
But the main thing is not in the price of the gift, but in your warmth, heart and attention to her real interests.
Sometimes a real surprise is what makes a girl happy . To my mind, information about what the girl is most interested in, can give the ideas of a nice gift.

This is a mark of your and her meeting, is not it? I can say only about me. And for me the best present will be a book with photos of your town, may be a disk with nature near your city. In your journey you"ll can to see the butiful places of Russia or Ukraine by your oun eyes - take your girfriend a possibility to see on the places, you love!

I do not expect a gift, but it is a nice gesture. I usually take the lady shopping and let her choose something she likes. The government employees at the Borispol airport will steal all the gifts in your luggage anyway. American Airlines won't stop in Kiev anymore. Too much baggage being stolen. Keep the gift in your carry-on bag. Even then, some of the other airport personnel will want to try to charge you a 50% gift tax.

Boys you are late already with your posts...I have written for the girls that men don't expect gifts...sorry!

I'm not big on flowers. I would like to look at them, but I don't think I need a bouquet of flowers, especially since I wouldn't be able to save one and bring it back with me.

An amazing, lasting gift for me would be a picture of the two of us together.
