I might go to Russia later this year or early next year, and I want to be able to blend into the crowd. What clothing, and hair style should I have. I don't speak unless I have to,so Most of the time people wont be able to tell what country I am from that.

I used to travel all through out the EEU very frequently.
The best piece of advice I can offer is just not to be the ugly American.
No baseball hats, no sneakers. 85% of the people in Moscow will speak English so don't worry about that.
The Muscovites are great people, and very friendly.
Don't be a jerk to them, and they will be kind to you.
Simple!

What is your purpose of "fitting in the crowd"?

Even in the "disguise" I guess that most Russian people will recognise you from your face..

Having just come back from there, Many people are smartly dressed and many wear trainers ( sneakers)? Suits and jeans are the norm. Fashion wise , it is no different than the next town along the street, people are individual.depending on what they do job wise. there are many tourists in some areas. so it is not difficult to blend with people. Be wary of the Subways (underpass) at night as there are many mucisians down there , and each has there regular underpass. The more they see you the more they hassle you ? for beer money. just keep walking. Moscow is no different than any other capital city so keep your self to yourself and you will be as one with the city.
I disagree , many people do not speak any English and if you expect to find directions writen in english ie trains , busses , no chance. As for menues in coffee shops etc, you will have to ask for english version ( ingleski ) tipping is optional depending on quality of food and service. i had a great time and only had hassle late at night on one occasion, my response was to give a load back in Spanish :) Enjoy your trip, you will not be dissapointed. Good luck.
