At the end of last year I went to St Petersburg to meet a woman who I had been in correspondence with for a couple of months. I stayed at her apartment, which was so run-down I thought "not a gold-digger" (or if she was, not very good at it). She showed me this beautiful city, I took her to decent restaurants, bought her some things, arranged the next visit and left her a few thousand roubles (not a lot....about £100).
I had only been home for 24 hours before I get a sms telling me that she had a problem and could I help. Seems she owed someone around £200 for missed monthly payments, and the full amount she owed (about £12000) could be paid later !
As she earned around £300 a month in her job, all I can say is she must have a very understanding bank manager to let her have a loan of that size ! But do not despair, fellow searchers. I had a great time, saw a wonderful city, spent a week with a very beautiful woman and did my ego no harm at all.
Since then, I have met a woman in Bulgaria, have just returned home from my third visit to her, spend an hour every night on skype.......so these sites can work. Happy hunting guys !
