It varies. I would put aside 10k for starters. As far as I can tell the normal course of things is to search, correspond/chat/video chat, visit (probably more than once), then apply for a finance visa and bring her here, and get married within 90 days. It is a lot of trouble, but worth it if you find a good woman.
