I am a newcomer to this site. As I was signing up, I noted the question about financial income. I did not answer that question. I am successful and quite comfortable financially, but it seemed to me that I would prefer women select or respond to my inquiries based on who I am, and not be influence by my income figure. I also realize that a man's role is primarily to provide for his family, so I can also see this is important. I was wondering what the ladies thought about this. Also wondering how many men actually list their incomes?

   Dear number1dad certainly the more great incomes you will write the more letters you will get   ok...you are right ...ofcouse the opportunity that there would be not very honest persons amoung them is greater but nevertheless the amount of letters would depend great from the summ you are going to mention
Boys, am I right ;) ? Who tried to put different summs - help him to understand.

As for me I never believe the information what is written about financial income but always pay attention to the occupation.
Good luck on your way

Olga, thank you for your response! As with just about every man writing on this site, I appreciate your insight and thoughtful comments. I understand your point of view. I would say that if a man puts an exaggerated income amount, he runs the risk of starting the most important relationship in his life - with a lie. But perhaps for some people it is an exaggeration, and probably we all exaggerate about things once in a while. As for me I think I will just leave it unanswered, perhaps the women brave enough to answer an inquiry from me are more likely to be the kind of person I hope to find here. Again I thank you very much, I just wish more women were as confident and sure of themselves as you, so we would get other such womens views.

Certainly, for the woman important that the man could hold family protected from large financial problems. But also to declare the riches, certainly, are not necessary. Because there will be a lot of people wishing to use it in the bad way. The best answer which I met in letters, was such: I am not rich, but stable. I am sure, these words are good enough for the woman who is sincerely interested in the man as he is.

And thank you for such good question! I think it is importent for both sides: women and men too. But it is important in good sense.

Dear Number1dad thank you for your reply

You are nice...I liked very much your perspective that to start the most important relationship in the life - with a lie is not good. Your perspective is much better than I wanted to say....shame on me.

You see I wanted to say that information about your income at the profile depends much from the goal that you want to get.
For example if you want to find a beautiful girl to have a nice trip with...you will write: «I am a very rich man! Who will show you all beauties of the world» - a lot of beautiful long-legs girls will be glad to watch all beauties of the world...but it doesn't mean that all of them are ready to be close devoted wifes just for you or to be near if you are sick....but they are not agains to use your money... as for you - you will get a nice trip for a week with a really beautiful girl.
If you write «sorry I am a poor man and loser, I can suggest you nothing»...you will get letters also but I really can't even imagin what kind of women you will get. I don't think among them you will find rather clever. It seems to me you will get something like: «don't cry dear I am too so poor and unhappy, I have so many problems».

Dear Number1dad...Lymargo told already and I am agree with her fully — no one normal woman wants to get a poor weak man, she wants to be protected — this is the main goal for her to build the family.

But really a very interesting question...if the number of letters depends from the mentioned income. So ask the boys — I am sure somebody has something like a statistican «when I showed that my income is great I have got more letters...it was pleasant for me because I felt as if I am a super-star».
But the variant what you want to get as a result you have to choose yourself.

Olga, you have a sharp wit and great sense of humor. Thank you for your response. I was never one to have shallow but perhaps fun relationships. I am not being judgemental, it just always seemed like a waste of time to me. Unfortunately two marriages (16 and 9 years respectively), my daughter tells me I just have not found a good one yet, but perhaps my luck will change. Again thank you for your wisdom mixed with humor, it is greatly appreciated by us all!!

Actually, I did not post income either.. I think this question is useless because the ladies do not know if you were honest or not! Also, from what I have seen so far, most ladies do not completely understand the difference in economies of the various countries.

I have mentioned before that I have a "retired" friend in Ukraine. I make as much in a few hours as he earns in a month. But, what he can live with for a month, would not buy a weeks groceries for me.

There can be such a huge gap in economies and costs, I think posting salaries can be VERY confusing and should not be done. As long as the ladies know you are stable and secure, I think they would be satisfied.

Plus, after a few conversations, they can guess very well what life you live. If you tell them in your work you are a "dishwasher", or a "Medical Doctor" they will understand who you are and what to expect.

Just my opinion..

AND, my kids tell ME I'm the "#1 Dad"!! :D
