Is it easy to tell if someone is a scammer?

I was given a phone number by a scammer when I first started looking... I was really having bad luck. It seems the first three or four girls I met were scammers. (Not from this site)

When I called the girl, she began to try and convince me how much "fun" we could have if I would just come spend time with her, maybe take a vacation together to an exotic location.. etc. etc.

I'll never forget this... she told me how handsome I was and that she spoke to her "Uncle the Priest".. who said God told him that he meant for us to meet and I was the man of her dreams... AND that her parents could not wait to meet me!!

"Her Uncle to Priest"........ whew, I still laugh when I think about this. If there was a television program "Worst Scammers Ever" this girls would of been a star.

I hope you guys are seeing why I am so careful now... I had a very bad start!!

I have been contacted for scammers too. Several since the first letters are very fallen in love withe me, so crazy. And there are a lot of confussing phrases, it must be from some very young man who does not know how to write and less in english.
Some are like desesparate, not inteligent at all, because they insist in calling and meeting her soon because she can not wait.
It was very funny that one of them sent me picture of an actress of a very known TV programm in Russia!

I'm seriously thinking about posting a letter I recieved to my email, my hesitation is because the woman was sincere in telling me exactly what she needed, I had her checked out from a dear friend of mine who lives in the same city, she says the woman is definetly not a scammer, but on her classmates profile she stressed on how she wanted to live in Florida among her girlfriends, and in her letter to me it also said this. She went on to ask if I could support a woman, and that she had a strong desire to survive and not be a servant or a wash lady,she wanted to know if my income would allow me to take care of her, and that there were no options left for her in Russia, she said she wants to live. Without posting her exact words this is what she said. and I might add she sent me a risky photo, and I mean very risky! It's really sad to read such a letter and my first thought was I wanted to help. I can't call this woman a scammer because she told me directly what she wanted, so I think some of these women do get a bad rap for being honest. I have no plans on sending her money, and she didnt ask anyway, she just wants a new life! this was said in her first letter to me, so we shall see.

The problem here is it sounds like she would move for anyone with enough money to support her. You would never be sure if she really loved you or came for other reasons. I guess I am a little old fashioned, but I would prefer my new wife actually thought she loved me and didn't see me as an escape plan. Very unfortunate.

Yes, she is being very sincere, it is you part to decide if you want a relationship with a woman in those terms. She is not talking about a satisfying relationship, nor about knowing you deeply first, she is beginning with the statement that she wants financial security and comfort inconditionally...and what about inner empathy?

There are really sincere materialistic women in all the world. The good is that she is showing her sncere face from now, you decide.

Excellent point t3st3r6uy !! Some of these beauties are indeed on other sites and not who they appear to be We try and use our best judgement yes, but these people are professional artists too!

SCAMMERS: Of course they come in all guises; some with fake photos, others with shady glasses; some will exchange messages for many many months before they pounce. :shock. They include not just the beautiful either; some are the less refined and least desireable, whilst some are right mingers that belong on another planet. Some months ago I was targetted by the latter, a 46 minger from Russia (four letter name starting with 'R' ending in 'a' and is NOT slim, brown hair ) supposedly 'happy, romantic and faithful with an athletic body Crasse! Always in the room like a circling vulture.
Anyway, her tactics were not the norm. So, if she looks obesse and asks for money cos shes starving, please don't feed her habit Heads up Lads!!

I'm just totally lmao............don't know what else to say...... sorry guys......to be honest these scams are becomming hilarious to me....... no offence intended to anyone!
