- What are the benefits of free membership?
You can become a free member for free. Free members can create a dating profile, upload photographs, add other members to Hot List for future reference. Free members can also send and receive unlimited standard messages for free!
- What is an activation code and what is it for?
After you initially submit your application an activation code will be sent to your email address. Activation Code is simply a link you have to follow to make sure that you have entered your email address correctly. Your email address will not be displayed anywhere on the website.
- I did not receive an activation code, what do I do?
Please make sure that you have added our domain loversplanet.com to your safe sender's list. Please also check your "Junk Folder" to make sure that the email with activation code has not been considered as junk mail. If you are still unable to find an email with activation code, simply send us a short message and we will activate your application.
- I have signed up and activated my profile, why am I unable to sign in?
If you have submitted your application and had no problem activating your profile, your membership account should be created within just a few minutes from the time you validated your email. The delays can be caused by a variety of factors. Please contact us to let us know you are having a problem.
- How can I change my username or email address?
For security resons the option of changing your username or email address is disabled. Please contact us if you wish to make these changes.
- I forgot my password, what do I do?
Please go to Password Reminder page and retreive your existing password. We will send you your account information to the email address you have provided before.
- How can I remove my profile?
If you wish to remove your profile from Loversplanet.com please sign in with your username and password and click on "Remove Profile" link at the bottom of the page.
Updating your profile
- How do I upadte my profile and upload photographs?
Please sign in using your username and password. To the left you will find your members menu. Click "Update Profile" to update your profile or "CHange Photos" to upload or delete your photographs.
- I have changed my profile and it is not available anymore! Why?
After you make changes to your profile it needs to be approved by our Administrator. Your profile will not be public until it is approved. The approval usually takes no more than 24 hours. If your changes are not validated for more than 24 hours, please contact Cutomer Care.
- How is my personal data protected?
Your personal information (such as your First and Last name, postal address, telephone number and email address) will not be displayed anywhere on the website. Members who communicate through the internal messaging system will never have to disclose their email address.
- I am 17 years old and I am unable to sign up, what&'s happening?
Only adults 18 and over can use the services on our website. There are no exceptions.
Adding and removing your photographs
- How do I upload photographs?
To upload photographs please sign in using your username and password and click on "Upload Photos" in the members menu. On the Upload Photographs page you can upload new photographs and delete the existing ones. If a photograph is already uploaded, you need to delete it before uploading a new one. If you have a problem uploading your photographs, you can send them by email and we will attach them to your profile.
- While uploading a photograph I keep clicking SEND and nothing happens. What's wrong?
The size of photographs in electronic format can quite large. This is especially true for better quality digital cameras. If you are uploading a good quality photograph with high resolution be prepared to wait. Depending on your Internet connection speed it may take anywhere between 2 - 20 minutes to complete. If you hit refresh button the uploading process will interrupt and will start all over again. If you fail to upload larger size photographs, please email them to us and we will attach them to your profile (please include your ID so that we can identify your profile).
- Is your dating service IMBRA-compliant?
Our dating service, to the best of our knowledge, is IMBRA-compliant. We do not disclose members' personal contact information and do not sell any contact or personal information such as email addresses or phone numbers. This information remains strictly confidential irrespective of whether you purchase a subscription.
We do allow members to exchange messages. As a free member you can only send pre-defined messages (these are messages that you choose from a set list of pre-defined one-liners). When you purchase a subscription you can send custom messages (messages that you write in your own words). Custom messages are not screened or censored in any way and are delivered directly to the recipient without any modification. We do not have control of what you include in custom messages.
Before US clients (US members) can send custom messages they are required to fill out an IMBRA form. Clients specify their location during registration on the website. IMBRA form requires US members to provide certain information such as prior marriages, whether they have children, etc. (information required by the IMBRA regulations). This information is made available to every female before she can send a message to any specific US member. A brochure that outlines key points of IMBRA regulation is also provided. Females can only send messages to a specific US member if they tick a box to confirm they understand the requirements of IMBRA regulations and that they have read the information provided by that specific US member, as required by the IMBRA regulations. Without this information they are prohibited from sending messages to that specific US member. Without ticking the confirmation box they are technically unable to send a message to any US member.
